Crisis Management Team Member
Introduction
This position works with our youth in crisis and non-crisis situations and assists with daily facility maintenance. Most evenings, crisis management team members will be playing games with adolescents who have behavioral issues, having discussions, or helping them prepare for bed. This is a great position for individuals with no experience in social work or human services who want to learn and make some extra money at the end of the day. Crisis management team members work primarily evening and weekend hours in a part-time or full-time capacity. Ask about our hiring bonus!
Qualifications
A. Provide direct therapeutic services to children using trauma informed training provided by Abbott House.
B. Ensure close/appropriate supervision of children in accordance with Agency standards.
C. Intervention in any crisis situation to ensure the safety of children, staff, or agency property according to agency practice.
D. Maintain positive communication with children, staff, and administration and complete required documentation in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
A. Contribute to the effective team management of behavior of students and implement education programs which may include tutoring and other responsibilities.
B. Provide opportunities for students to learn and improve social skills.
C. Ensure that methods of intervention are responsive to the students’ needs, and are consistent with Agency Policy.
D. Communicate student progress and challenges to team members in a timely manner.
E. Assist teachers in preparation of curriculum materials and perform other duties as assigned.
F. Maintain thorough and timely documentation of significant incidents.
Wage Range
Starts at $18.50/hour based on experience. A complete benefit package is included for full-time employees.
