South Dakota Day of Giving
Mark your calendars! South Dakota Day of Giving is happening on Tuesday, December 3rd, and it’s your chance to join a statewide movement of generosity while directly impacting the lives of Abbott House kids.
Known nationally as Giving Tuesday, South Dakota Day of Giving is a special day set aside to inspire people from all over the state to support the causes they care about. For us, it’s an important day to raise funds needed to provide our children with magical and memorable birthdays and holidays throughout the year.
Thanks to our incredibly generous donors, all gifts given to Abbott House on December 3 will be matched up to $10,000!
Here’s how you can get involved and help us make a lasting impact:
1. Donate Online
Your generous donations allow us to provide our children with presents, food, activities, and decorations. No gift is too small. Whether it’s $5, $50, or $500, your support makes a real difference! All gifts made December 3rd are matched up to $10,000.
2. Share Our Story
Help us spread the story of Abbott House and our mission. Share our Day of Giving posts on social media and tell your friends and family about why you support Abbott House. Your voice can inspire others to give!
3. Set Up a Recurring Gift
One of the best ways to help is by becoming a monthly donor. By setting up a recurring donation, you provide ongoing support for Abbott House, which allows us to plan for the future and ensure we have the resources needed year-round.
4. Volunteer Your Time
Reach out to us about volunteer opportunities, such as helping at an event, wrapping presents for kids, or mentoring a child in our care – we’d love to have you as part of the Abbott House team! Abbott House brings hope and healing to children who have endured severe trauma, abuse, and neglect. For many, the holidays haven’t been a time for joyful memories. But with your support, we can make their birthdays and holidays special, filling them with warmth, comfort, and love.
